Joe really listens to the student’s interests and tailors the lessons accordingly; for example, my son took an immediate interest in writing his own music, so Joe gives him a composition challenge each week as part of his assignments. We benefit from Joe’s superb teaching skills, and look forward to our lessons each week.   • Joe's understanding of music technique, music theory, and his overall sense of musicality is exquisite! However, what makes him so special is the rapport that he has with his students. He is patient and adaptable to our daughter's changing needs and continues to keep her inspired. He guided her through transcribing a jazz trumpet solo to piano, taking her to the next level and also helped her to win an award for piano accompaniment skills. We can't recommend him highly enough!
