Hi, I'm Joe Wilson, a musician based in Cary, North Carolina. After over a decade performing in New York City, Houston, and worldwide, I’ve settled in The Triangle, sharing my passion for music for the past five years.

I teach students of all levels, styles, ages, and backgrounds—from total beginners to retirees and active professionals. My lessons are tailored to each student's tastes and goals, focusing on building strong foundations and exploring personal musical interests. I teach piano, saxophone, flute, and clarinet, and specialize in performance, improvisation, songwriting, and practical music theory. Recently, I've introduced recording workshops for home studio music production.

My teaching is based on two core principles:

1. Discover the music you love and learn to play more of it.

2. Build a foundation of techniques and concepts to express the unique magic of music.

Many of my students have excelled in competitions and pursued musical careers, but most importantly, they learn to create and enjoy the music they love.
